Two words: Image resampling.
A Vista one would look like this.
Answer: Restore then send to apple
I have to agree. The icons are just too similar looking and hard to differentiate. At least, to me they are.Looks like crap to me...just sayin'.
How about, very cool first attempt on personalizing the phone. I would suggest more distinctive icons and give suggestions. BTW...here are some very clean images we can try..vs hating on a guy and critiquing him w/o contributing any assistance. -RSZ
Sorry, the home screen looks like the set of a bad game show.
The ONLY thing that caught my eye without making me wince was the battery percentage meter. If it's updated with real data it would be very useful.
From a design standpoint, if you REALLY want to change the look, try thinking less along Apple's lines. They've pretty already much done a beautiful job of rounded corners, glows, reflections, etc. What you're doing is essentially painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa. Instead, maybe scrap every icon, find a completely different one for each, and ditch the rounded boxes. LG's Prada black and white theme, and some of Sony-Ericssons' Flash themes are good examples of breaking the UI mold. Head over to deviantart.com for some truly inspiring icon sets.
Nice attempt, but IMO the iPhone interface should look clean. The interface that you have looks really cluttered, especially with the reflections of the icons.
i actually like the icon reflections. apple's doing it with all their things lately, including the dock.
Other than the home screen rearrangement of the icons, I changed the lock and power off icons and the highlighting text background to blue. Thanks again to digitalkid56 for his work in this revised theme.
Here's mine - Vintage Leopard:
