Update - Apple Service Provider #2, said mostly it will be replaced as they are clearly two separate issues. Will get new Screen Lid by Friday! Still have my MacBook Pro with me!

Well sounds for one like your handling it like an adult unlike most people here when something happens like this to the MBP. I am glad you are getting your problem fixed.
I sent mine in with a screen problem and they replaced my dented case for free and with out me even asking! It was from when I dropped it off my bunk bed
