Friend of mine dropped his 3rd gen iPod into our school swimming pool. Still works fine, and kept on playing whilst in the pool (was only in for about 5 secs).
My iPod mini withstood amazingly well. It's in fine condition, the hard drive is showing no problems at all, still runs beautifully quietly (much more quiet than my 80gb 5G). The only problem I had with it was the battery, which Apple replaced...
