I just seen the new MBA and I was a bit disappointed by the weight. It's not that much lighter than the 15" MBP 2010. If a 15" MBP is too heavy for someone, I don't think a 13" MBA will make much of a difference.

OS X runs surprisingly fast though. It's probably the Flash drive doing it's work.

You're joking, right?

This has to be a joke topic. The difference in weight is huge. Especially when being lugged around all day on planes and in airports. The Air is more in line with the weight of the iPad.

No I'm not. I carry around my 15" MBP everyday so I know it's weight. The 13" MBA is too much of a sacrifice in specs for the minimal weight difference.

Did you actually lifted a 13" MBA or do you judge it what you read on a website?

Lol he might be a heavy weight lift champion.

I own both mbp15 and mba13. HUGE difference!

Well, I'm the 2nd strongest guy in my gym, but I'm not heavy weight lift champion.

I don't really feel the weight difference that much. No chance I'm trading my 15 " MBP for a 13" MBA

Haha.

I just "seen" the new MBA too. The MBP is kinda light, so I get where you're coming from. I think the unibody helps a lot. My old white MacBook felt like all the joints and separate pieces were stressed and falling apart, sort of makes it feel more heavy.

If you would like to test them on scales, however, I can assure you beforehand that the Air is lighter.

I'm no grammar Nazi, but reading your posts is downright painful.

You really need to learn how to speak proper English. Anyway, the Macbook Pro is actually a lil difficult to pick up with one hand from the corner. The Macbook Air I could throw from the corner. Big difference, sir.

MBP pro's are very nice macs and if that what you want then you will be happy. It is one heavy chuck of metal though.

I have to completely disagree with the weight thing. I have both the air and 15 inch and there is a giant difference (and I have the 13 inch air). There is even a giant difference in the air and 13 inch MBP (which I have one right beside me that belongs to a friend).

I'm pretty sure 5.6 pounds vs 2.9 pounds is noticeable. I bet the OP hasn't even seen the MBA in person yet and he is reading off the site like he is accusing us of.
