Clay is very disappointed with this thread. Clay can't remember the last time he's seen a thread as bad as this one. Clay really wishes it would just stop.
Signed,
Clay
We've had lots of pointless threads like this recently.

Writing your name at the end of a post...
I dont quite get it. What is with that after each and every post?
I can see who wrote a post by looking at the left side of my firefox window. I can see if you really like your name or something but is it really needed or is this just the new trendy thing to do.
Well, just to give a serious answer, I do it because I've been doing it since many years ago in the Usenet days when we didn't have fancy-schmancy avatars and stuff. It's a hallmark, a point of consistency so you can more easily recognize the long string of my posts filled with wit and wisdom throughout time and space (cough cough). Don't like it? Tough.

The art of digression began with Montaigne and I intend to continue that tradition with full speed ahead.
This is the type of thread we call a thread hijacking
The worst isAny moron caught doing this should be found and shot.
What's this wasteland some people are talking about?
Lemme know,

rant |rant| verb [ intrans. ] speak or shout at length in a wild, impassioned way
Not necessarily. Threads can be locked and left where they are. They're usually moved to the Wasteland (which entails automatic locking) if they also are felt to just need to go away. Occasionally, a thread is outright deleted if the mods really want it to go away.Wastelanded threads are threads that are locked. There, they die.
Cheerios,
Ben
That was a very short rant. As you can see from the definition of rant in the dictionary it should be longer.![]()

Perhaps they want post-by-post control over what's shown...I don't hate it... but I must say I don't get it. Why don't people just use the signature feature? Why bother typing out the same thing over and over again?
I'll tell you what's worse, grown up people using smilies. Honestly, sometimes it's like an AOL teenage chatroom in here.
is bad enough.
This at the end of every sentence should be a prisonable offence - tedious cheeseballs.

Ya, Its kinda like the Lube phase.
