I really must hand it to Apple for providing me with such high quality MacBooks. I'm on my third now. It still whines, and it still has a flickering screen. Unfortunately, I'm not too sure if I can return it. It was ordered November 8th, so it's not like I'm within my two week period. Thank you Apple.
Like I've said so many times before, I really, really, doubt that there's such a thing as a non-whining MacBook. Either you don't know what it sounds like, or your hearing ain't that good (or maybe you just deny it?). I still haven't heard a MacBook without it anyway.
What can I say? I'm really disappointed. This is the price I have to pay for wanting OS X? I'm going to contact Apple tomorrow and see what can be done about this. I hope I can somehow get my money back.
