Very nice, thanks for sharing. I may have to do this with my wallpapers.

Do you happen to know what city this was?
It's Seattle. 1) You can tell from the distinctive and unique buildings. 2) It says so in the file name!

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but I recognize many of those images from other sites. I guarantee you that at least some of them have restrictions on how they can be distributed. I've got a pretty big wallpaper collection myself that I have available via a PHP web gallery, but it's password protected and I don't pass the link around for those reasons. I'm sure the artists and photographers of some of these images prefer their stuff to be distributed from certain places so they can track its popularity. You just might want to check into that before freely passing them out.
He's right. If I saw one of my pictures on this site, I'd be pissed off. I wouldn't mind sharing, if I was asked permission first, but this is more than what I consider fair.
theres nothing wrong with posting collections of photos. yours or not. hes not selling them and he doesnt have ads where he is making a profit.
the most anyone could do is ask him not to post it. and even then, they cant make you take them down.
this is no different then someone cutting photos out of magazines and posting a collage in the dorm hallway.
thats the nature of the internet. once you post something people are going to grab it.
People grab images of my stuff all the time and it turns out to be my best publicity
I agree. The OP said it is a collection of "your" (our) wallpapers. I like this better because finding a link to a wallpaper in the March Desktop thread is sometimes a PITA.
Someone made the searching for a cool wallpaper much easier and again I say "Thanks."
As far as I know the Internet is not law.
And the most that the creators are asking is that its material is not used for profit and commercial. Only for personal use.

Sounds good to me, post away...

Wrong. He doesn't hold the copyright, nor does he hold the rights to distribution.theres nothing wrong with posting collections of photos. yours or not.
Wrong again. They can contact the host and have them forcibly removed.they cant make you take them down.
Wrong again! There's a difference between posting a single copy of something on a wall and passing out copies to possibly hundreds of other people.this is no different then someone cutting photos out of magazines and posting a collage in the dorm hallway.
That obviously makes it OK, right?thats the nature of the internet.
