hmm there's nothing on their twitter page speaking of a re-launch of the app.

trying it now...

*edit* nope, still doesn't work, i wonder why apple have put the app back up!?

You're joking? I've just purchased the national rail app at £4.99

Does it work? As the app stopped working, thats why I had to uninstall it - said they no longer provde this service or something.

No it doesn't work. Just downloaded but whenever you try to do anything in the App you get the 'We regret to inform you' message regarding the loss of licence.

I suspect this has gone back into the App store in error.

I also suspect the licence withdrawel/non-renewal is all down to National Rail enquiries brining out their own app (which i already have but I much preferred the icon and look of this App).
:(

No, it's giving the same message as before. It seems your £4.99 wasn't wasted! :)

I wonder if this is just accidental on Apple's part?

Thank god!!

Anyway, the national rail app is pretty good. Gives the location of the train along the journey which is quite neat.

There's a free German app (donationware) called ZugInfo which references Deutsche Bahn's Europe-wide rail timetable database...

I just used it to plot a theoretical journey from Fort William to Istanbul, but you can use it for more mundane UK-only journeys!

It doesn't provide fare info or train delays (like the £5 UK rail app), but if you're only after timetable information, it works well.
