I use a cheap ESR case I got off Amazon for my 2018 iPad Pro 11". While I use my iPhones naked (and are doing so with my 12 Pro), I prefer a slim case on my iPad given:

1) I like ability to keep Apple Pencil 2 more securely attached than just magnetically. I like this one as it has a separate loop to help keep it securely on end of iPad, even when throwing in a bag
2) Ability to have it stand at a few angles
3) Given how much I'm often reading for long periods of time, I like that the case keeps my hands from sweating / smudging on the actual back of the iPad

I have an Apple Smart Folio case for my 2018 12.9" Pro, but I also ordered a cheap black folio cover that also attaches magnetically from Amazon for about $15. I then took an x-acto knife and a straight edge and cut off the front cover and hinge from that cheap case, so I have just a black magnetic back cover that I use for day-to-day handling. I keep the Apple Folio for out-of-the house use or in-house if I need the stand functionality.

Just replaced my 2018 11" iPad pro and smart folio case with apple care, the new case is better sit's the iPad a bit more upright, black is nicer than the old grey too. All for $65AUD gotta love apple care.
About all i like to use.

I bought recently a leather folio for A4 notebook. My idea is to use one pocket for iPP and the other one for the logitech bluethooth keyboard. With the keyboard I suppose I can store a foldable stand that I can use at work when I am at desk and I want to write with the keyboard. At the same time a pillow-pad could be an idea for when I am in bed for watching movies and series.
Nice folio, you can never go wrong with Logi

After using my iPad Air 4 naked for a while whenever I removed it from my Magic Keyboard, I now got the Smart Folio as well. This way I don’t have to prop it into a case and it’s still protected on the go. The magnet connection works flawlessly for me and I just hope that the frame doesn’t get too scratched when throwing it into my backpack or flight bag.

I know it’s a lot of money (almost $400.00 just for cases) but I think it’s the only version that really works for me.
