Going to finder and clicking AirDrop on the sidebar unfortunately shows nothing. Is there any possibility of back porting the Yosemite version of AirDrop to work on Mavericks?

It's something I would like to do, now that LLMs have expanded the range of what is feasible. We need to:

  1. Get Open Wireless Link (OWL) working on Mavericks.
  2. Get OpenDrop working on Mavericks. (Mostly to ensure that #1 works properly.)
  3. Create a SIMBL plugin that essentially re-implements OpenDrop and wires it into Finder.
Claude Opus 4.8 seemingly completed #1 (OWL appeared to be receiving packets from my iPhone 13 Mini, only when it had Airdrop enabled), but was stuck on #2 (OpenDrop could not find my iPhone as a client, nor the reverse). I tried to upgrade to Fable instead, but for whatever reason Fable's safety classifier decided this project was dangerous and blocked me. I need to try again with Opus 5.
