Natural Scrolling - Are you using it?

Are you using natural scrolling (turned on by default) or do you use "normal" scrolling?

I understand that those using a click wheel mouse will be using the "normal" scrolling but trackpad and magic mouse users, which scrolling are you using on Lion? :)
 
Natural. I got used to it pretty quickly. I can even switch between Lion and SL without getting confused.
 
Disabled it first chance I got. It's hell. But if this is your first notebook, I guess it might feel more 'natural'.
I can't say I'm impressed with the new multitouch features, though I like swiping to switch between desktop/dashboard/fullscreen programs.

But why isn't this a poll?
 
If you disable it, then scrolling left and right between desktops is reversed as well. I made myself get used to leaving it enabled.
 
I tend to allow Apple to think for me when it comes to default settings But There's nothing Natural about Apples Natural Scrolling. I thought it was a bug at first, but after trying it a bit I went to normal scrolling.

If you're used to iDevices then it makes a lot more sense. Going from my iPhone to my Mac always screws me up in SL. Scrollbars are so last decade. ;)
 
I installed the GM on Friday and left Natural scrolling on by default. It's Monday and I have no problems with it anymore. Tomorrow may be different because I have my main laptop to go back to and that is the old method.

I've been using touchpads for ten years and I made the transition with ease. I prefer it as I think the old way would seem weird combined with some of the other gestures in the OS.
 
Its bloody hell, my wife hates it and using InDesign today and cutting and pasting was no pleasure - how to you disable 'natural' - had aloof around System prefs and could see nothing to click, so just left it on default - don't use iDevice.

As I'm in my mid 40's, perhaps I'm getting too conservative, but much prefer the other 'normal' scrolling method I've used for nearly 20 years.
 
Yes I use it and I have no problem switching from SL to Lion. The funny thing is: if you have it disabled, swiping between full-screen apps becomes even more confusing than scrolling.

I ran in to this problem.

Scrolling seems more natural the old way, however swiping between full screen apps and launchpad pages seems odd using this method.

I can't agree with you there. Do you think it would be natural if when you tried to drag with your finger on your iPad, the it would scroll in the opposite direction? I think if you are used to using the iPhone and the iPad, it's quite natural. Took me a short time to get used to it, now it messes me up when I use a Mac that doesn't have it .

Macs aren't iPads or iPhones though - of course it makes sense on a touch screen when you're directly moving the content with it following your finger, but it doesn't feel right or at all intuitive to me on the trackpad of a MBP.

Scrolling down to go up doesn't feel natural on anything other than a touchscreen device
 
I'm okay with the scrolling.

The only gesture I can't do well is the Launchpad and Desktop ones. Pinch with three fingers and your thumb.
 
I much prefer the "natural scrolling" with my Magic Trackpad. It was a little strange at first, but after using it in Lion I much prefer it to the old method. I even changed it in Snow Leopard using BetterTouchTool so I have "natural scrolling" there too.
 
Been using it for a few months now since one of the earlier betas. Feels awkward at first but it literally took me a few hours to train my mind to the natural way.
 
Smart scroll

I have the smart scroll by macromini and I so glad since it gives me that smooth Iphone-like scrolling I like without inertia .
 
I tried it with the Magic Mouse and my instincts fought it with everything they had, so I put it back to "normal." But with the trackpad it's a lot nicer and took no time to get used to.
