I wouldn't advise discussing pirating software on this forum. There are other outlets for such things.

jailbreaking is discussed on this forum, that's what my question is referring to.

if you don't know the answer there's no need to get all high and mighty.

I agree but at this point only these two companies are interested, Garmin has a hookup with Microsoft for MS direct or whatever its called; I'm pretty sure they are expressly prohibited from developing GPS software for non WinMo phones

Garmin also develop for Symbian S60, and it's very good.

Well...judging by the Euro conversion and Navigon being a European Company, were probably looking at the $100-115 mark......I was all for it being cheap but I suppose even at that price its not bad considering it replaces another device :)
I only paid $70 for my actual GPS unit which is running Navigon. That would not be cost effective for me at all...

no more navigon

The only point I will make, is that navigon has recently pulled OUT of the USA for hardware completly.

It concerns me then that they MAY not focus on their map solutions, and routing engines in this region since the large bulk of $$ sales are done.

TomTom is third in the USA still and will continue to sell regular PND devices.
