Fan sorted. Used a staple cut to size as a jumper.

My god Mac osx is quick with the ssd!!

been running my 24" with an SSD for about a year now, and it still amazes me how quick it is.

Everything seems to have gone smoothly so far.

the only problem I am having is the working with 2 hard drives. How do I copy my Picture, Documents, Downloads, Music and Movies system folders to the 2Tb hard drive and have mac osx always look for them there? is it possible? I want them removed from the SSD.

Using migration assistant has brought over itunes but because of space constraints it doesnt see my library or backups which are on the 2tb drive. Can I restore my library, backups of iphone, ipad etc?

If /Users/username is mounted from the SSD then perhaps you could trick OSX with a symlink for the /Users/username/Pictures that points to the 2TB drive

Again, any chance you could list the parts needed? As in type of sata cable and power cable?

And what was that about a staple as a jumper? Did you just short out something on the SSD?

The staple was used to short out the temperature sensor for the 2Tb drive. You put it in the end of the cable to short it out or the fans just run wild.
