Hi,

I would like to find a good weather app. for my iPhone 5 and would appreciate any suggestions from the members. Thanks!

i use the paid verison of Weather HD. its really cool and ive tried a bunch, this seems like the best one out of all of them.

btw, app related questions go in the app forum, not here.

I use the Weather Channel free App because it has pollen report on the home page, most necessary for this allergy sufferer. A box with wind data and visibility tells me whether I will enjoy my bike ride. Missing if they have icons for webcams will make it even better.

Free version has a running ticker Ad on the bottom of the screen, no ad $3.99.

I use www.swackett.com. It has pretty good information. Scrolling down from the main screen gives you satellite and radar maps of your area, region, and the whole US.

CAVEAT: You have to get past the cutesy crap...but the information is pretty extensive.

Download all the freebie ones and have a play. Weather apps are very subjective. Sometimes you just want to know the temperature, sometimes you want to know the air quality and humidity. Here are a few of the best IMO:

Weathercube
MINIMETEO
Haze
Living Earth
AccuWeather
Sun (a web app) http://pattern.dk/sun/
Forecast (another web app) http://forecast.io/
Thermo
Swackett
Weatherwise
Ultraweather
Netatmo
Sky
Weather+
The Weather
Weather 2x
ClearWeather

The newly updated Weatherbug Elite is my current go-to app. It provides all the information (animated radar, wind, pollen forcecast, daily/hourly/weekly forecast, etc). But I like it because it doesn't try to be too cute looking like some of these apps and it is not as ugly as The Weather Channel app.

I use Haze army main one because of the simplicity, but I keep the Weather Channel around just for in-depth info if I need it.

Just tried the Yahoo weather app and love it, and now is my current weather app (replaced the Weather Channel one).

I agree with Weatherbug Elite. It updates in real time and is very localized. Yahoo Weather looks great, but does not update as timely and the radar is not very good. I use Intellicast or The Weather Channel for push alerts on one of my back pages. Weatherbug for current conditions & forecasts is on my front page for day to day use.

It's not a dedicated app but a web app, but www.forecast.io is my default weather app. It's awesome.
Same here.

I like how it uses NOAA radar to give you an up-to-the-minute forecast on how long rain will last, and how heavy it will be.

Also like being able to FF and REW the radar.

It's pretty much the same stuff that was in the $4.99 Dark Skies app, but free as a web app now. You can also use it from a computer, which I like too.

Doesn't do pollen or stuff like that though.
