Need advice - iMac 24" 256 GB/16GB or 512 GB/16GB

1. Larger SSDs are also usually faster.
2. Suggest not plan on using more than 80 to 90% of the SSD capacity, else it may slow down:

However, some have disputed both these statements. Nevertheless, a larger SSD is never slower.

I went with 16/512 for my new one. 512 was a simple choice for me - I’m using 220 of 512 in my current drive - so the dilemma was more about ram, but I’ve been struggling with 8gb of late now that I’m doing more video editing.

I’m coming from a late 2012 21” so anticipating a massive uplift on my experience.

wanted to give a quick update: I did end up going with the 8/8/16/512 and i do not regret getting the extra storage. I set it up as brand new and with my usage so far im using almost 100 GB already. With 512 i feel like i have room to breathe where as if i had the 256 id regret it
