Hi all again,

seems like IE is really the worst poc available... This page: megapixelicio.us/products looks good in FF and Saf, but totally screw up in IE6 (cant check with IE7) and I dont understand why since I cant play with the CSS as I can with Firebug... I am sure it is related to the way that IE interpret margins but the various tricks I tried did not work.

BTW: the page validates, except for a few duplicates ID that have nothing to do with the given problem.

Anyone has an idea?

Thanks, you have all been so great so far!

Les Kern, To be honest, when it first popped up the one word that came to mind was "depressing".

I agree with Les Kern, too monochromatic.

I would also say, it is not very fluid.

Looks too much like a template.

Thanks for the feedback, always appreciated.

But what does it mean "not very fluid" ?

As I said previously, there is going to be a touch of color once the site goes officially into production and I have some spare time to work on a more dynamic layout, so this point will be corrected in the short term.

New feature!

Hi all,

I have added a new feature that allow users to say if they ever experienced any problems with their lenses and would like some feedback on the functionality.

Feature:
Basically, users can evaluate each of their possessions (need to be logged on and have possession in their gear list) against a set of issues.

Design question:
At first I wanted to use radio button but it did not display way, so I used styled links that look like buttons. Once a user clicked on 'yes' or 'no', I turn the color of the other button greyish. I like it but I wonder if it might cause confusion for the user or not. So any feedback or suggestion (!) on this would be great!

Thanks all!

You might want to try using the button tag, which has an attribute for being disabled. There's also the input tag with type image that you can use and can also take on a disable attribute. Either of these would be better than a styled link from a semantic perspective.

I agree and will keep a note about this.

Btw, once I start displaying stats, do you think I should display each graph with the given issue or put all the stats in a single graph at the bottom/top of the issues list?

note: I am probably going to use gChart.

Thx.

I'd have to see what types of stats, but likely a cumulative stats graph would be better unless you think visitors will be building up a lot of whatever is being given stats and then could use individual graphs.

I would just like to point out the power of google adword... 2 replies talking about charts and there is a google ad for a charting software at the bottom of the page! ;-)

That being said, it is going to take a while to get the graphs since I need at least 30 votes per issue per products... But once it is done, it is going to be grrreeeaaat! ;-)
