Basically for Genealogy, to take obituaries, marriage announcements, and birth announcements and get them typed.
The scans are from very old news papers, so the resolution and quality is sometimes very poor.
If 60% of the clipping comes in, that is 60%I dont have to retype. So that is good, I have been playing with the trial version of ABBY Finereader and think it can do OK, with some tweaking. Once the family surnames are in the spell check list, its a nit easier to clean them up.
To be honest $120 is a lot though, I am going to keep playing with it though....
