Hi, I need some help. I am looking to upgrade my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), Processor: 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4 GB I use this mac for video editing and other graphic related work and it takes quite a long time to render the files. What are my options here. Can I upgrade it to Intel Core i9-10850K Processor 20M Cache, up to 5.20 GHz What about the graphics upgrade?

You could add more memory. That's about all you can do. You can't swap out the processor for a faster one.

I have the same machine but with the 290x. Sadly I think its prob time to retire them for clerical duties! Mine really drops frames with 4k footage.

You can swap out the drive for an SSD too, that will speed up some use cases.

It's 9 years old.
You're pushing against the limits of an older Mac.
There's only so much you can do.
You shouldn't spend much money trying to "upgrade" it.

It's time to look for a replacement.
Either new, or perhaps from Apple's online refurbished store.

I'd suggest an m2pro Mini with a 4k display.

If you have an internal spinning disk or Fusion Drive, replace it with an SSD ... this will have the best performance to cost ratio.

Install an NVMe SSD such as the WD Black SN850X or similar into the internal SSD slot using a NGFF adapter. Avoid Samsung NVMe SSD's because of TRIM compatibility issues. Remove the spinning disk (if it has never been replaced it is likely end of life by now). You should be able to achieve about 750 MB/s with the SSD installed into the internal SSD slot.
