iPhone XS Max Need new iPhone XS Max ASAP - best way? (Best Buy?)

Unfortunately, I need to purchase a new iPhone today. I'd like the max. The today part rules out buying directly through Apple as there's no apple store nearby.

If I buy through Best Buy, is it unlocked? Or will they lock it to a carrier? Can I then have my carrier (Sprint) unlock it? I'd rather avoid being locked into Sprint's flex lease BS.

Also, anyone have any experience paying full price then financing with Best Buy card?

An you call Best Buy and ask them? My guess is their phones are NOT unlocked, but you would have to confirm.
