Rather than jumping back to the iPhone and HOPING it'll get you better battery life, why not try a different Android phone? The Droid Turbo has a fantastic battery, and Motorola historically has some of the best radios in their phones so you may get better signal pull and lower battery drain as a result. You're on Verizon so the Turbo is an option. I know it wasn't released yesterday but it's still a good phone and has none of the bloat you get with the S6.

Thanks for that suggestion. For starters, I am going to swap phones with my sister for a day while I am at school (she has the iPhone 5 or 5s or something, also on Verizon), and see if the battery behaves in a similar way. If the battery is draining in the same way, then I will probably start exploring other options.

The 5/5s won't give you a great idea of how a 6 will fare. I know several people that had those and upgraded early because the battery was HORRIBLE. My dad is on the fence, nearly jumped on the Turbo when the rep offered him the same deal they got for my mom to get into a Turbo, with nothing out of pocket even though he wasn't anywhere close to 2 years on his device.

I'm more just doing it to see if being in that building pulls on the battery in the same way it does to my S6. Essentially I want to compare what happens to what my sister's normal experience with the battery is. I'm not so much looking to see how long it will last... more want to see whether the phone responds differently.

Ok, so I took an iPhone 5s on Verizon to school with me today. Unplugged at 6:30 am, got to school at 11, worked in the same room as normal. Even spent ~2 hours in the basement with no signal and left the phone in regular mode the entire time. At 4:45 pm I still had 79% battery on the iPhone 5s.

I think I will make the switch to a 6+.

Selling one on Swappa and the marketplace if interested. :)
