Need Steps to Jailbreak my iphone 3g 2.2.1 firmware

yeah, that helped a little. it did inform to quit itunes once i started pwnage. my turbo sim is capable of running off 2.2.1 and baseband 2.30. do i really need to do this custom restore? can i not just upgrade and then jailbreak?

if not, i cant seem to select my custom firmware. its sitting on my desktop, but i cant access it once im in itunes. if i do click restore with shift and then select it off my desktop it doesnt seem to do anything. still takes my to the apple download. am i supposed to see it in my itunes window??? call my bakup cell if you think you could walk a newb through easier over the phone: 8505020942.

If you have a turbo sim then you should be able to just upgrade normally and then jailbreak it and unlock it with the sim card.

yeah, here i have a another solution: you can buy a newest MAGICSIM 2009 Newest iPhone V2.2.1 Unlock Turbosim to Unlock your iPhone. It's great. I once try, hope it can give u some help. for more information u can refer to the http://www.magicsim.com/iphone-3g-unlock/products-introduction.htm

After reading reviews nearly all day, I have decided that I would like to jailbreak my 3G Iphone. Please walk me through these steps.

i can tell you an easy way to do it,which i once met
1.Prepare iPhone 3G Unlock Sim.
2.Place the iphone 3G Unlock Sim (back side) into the sim socket.
3.Judge from the side, the height of Turbosim IC is below the sim socket. (You don’t need cutting your sim card, or worry about the plug problem any more)
4.Judge from the Professional measuring tools, you could see the thickness of Turbosim is only 0.82mm
5.Put your own sim card together with iPhone 3G unlock Sim
6.Insert both sim card and Turbosim into iPhone 3G
7.Power on iPhone 3G, it have searched another network automatically in 10 seconds.
8.Dialing as normal, and you can connect others at once.
9.With powerful signal in communications.

Need Help!

Okay, I really thought I had this down, but apparently I don't because everytime i try to jailbreak my phone, at the very end it doesn't let me. It always comes up with an error on itunes telling me it can't restore with the custom firmware (I used pwnage)... idk what the issue is... But whenever i get into DFU mode and "haz success" my phone doesn't show up on my iTunes, therefore the only way to make it show up is to turn it back on... doesn't this bring me out of DFU mode?? is this why it isn't working?? uhg. I have no idea what to do.

I have an iPhone 3g and already have it updated to the 2.2.1 firmware... it hasn't been jailbroken or unlocked before... Someone please let me know what I can do to make this work. I am so frustrated right now!!

when 3.0 comes out im gonna un jailbreak and use the 3.0 software. im just using it in the meantime because i dont feel like waiting for landscape sms and i like having custom themes on my phone. who knows, if 3.0 is worth it ill get rid of my jailbreak. it will probably be worth it.
