Have you checked with both those settings turned off?

My iPhone X has not had that problem at all in all versions of iOS 11 and having clean installs and restores multiple times (not because there were issues, just because I do that once in a while)

Yeah I have the double click setting turned off and I still have the issue with the button not recognizing a click. I’ve had this problem from the first day I’ve had the phone in November but I can’t get myself to drive to apple because of this. They should drive to me lol, it’s their fault they sent me a defect Lmaoo

Knock on wood, but mine has stopped having this issue since I reset all settings/data and did not set up the double-click Apple Pay thing.
