Why nervous? Afraid to get buyer's remorse after you buy it, even though you buy it when you actually need it? Or is it that you just want it? If you need the computing power that the upcoming Air can provide you, and you need it so much as your initial posting suggests, how about going Pro instead?

Nervous? what are you some sort of hipster douche? its a freaking laptop, not a paternity test.

Well I can understand the OP is a bit hesitant about buying one now. For some people (including myself) the price of a MacBook Air is a lot of money and it really is awful to buy one and see a new model released 2 days later. In fact when I buy my MBA it will cost more than my car :)

Completely agree. The feeling sucks when you buy something and a new version comes out not long after. Sometimes, you suck it up because what you bought was good enough. Of course, 2 days isn't the problem--Apple has a 14-day return policy. I'd be more concerned if it came out about 3-4 weeks later (you might get lucky and find a nice store manager who is willing to help out at about 15-16 days, but that's an exception and not the rule).
