Anyone here experience horrible lag? I know the iPad doesnt have alot of ram- but im pretty sure 256 is enough to run Legend of Zelda. What's odd is that Ocarina of Time on N644iphone works (tho that one lags a bit, understandably) but these NES and SNES ones will taxe 5+ seconds to respond. These run fine on my friend's 3GS.
Is it just that these apps were meant for the iPhone and they haven't been updated to run smoothly with iPad?

Confusing...

My Gameboy runs Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past but sure as hell would never be able to run soemthing like Mirror's Edge.

Snes games run perfectly fine on my iPad.

So am I just downloading crappy ROMs or are my settings messed up or what?

Christ..i swear the sound runs perfectly well but the video feedback is terrible and skips like a mofo

You and me have opposite experiences. SNES works fine but N64iphone pretty much lags insansely. BTW anyone know where to get the paid version? All I see is the lite free one.

I was able to get Mario 64 and it ran but it lagged like crazy. Maybe the paid version is better.

WTF you can play ocarina of time o your ipad? How do you control?

I didn't actually try to play it. I watched the intro. i figured that trying to control it using the stupid-ass NES controller they give you in the NINTENDO 64 APP COUGH COUGH would be nigh impossible.

Pls try and tell. Video would be even better:D

Which version is everyone using? I have the paid version on my iPhone and when I try to install the paid version on my iPad it tells me "Note: The requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed."

Snes4iphone and n64iphone both work perfect on my iPad even with of a wiimote. Full speed on both. Only 2 probes vie had is the n64 sound is choppy. And having n64 installed as well will steal wiimote support from snes. So I uninstalled n64 as I paid for snes and wanted to play those games more.

Figured it out. I had to reinstall BTStack.

I will have to check out N64iPhone. I tried NES3 and NES4iPhone last night and neither work. When I load a ROM, I have to zoom in or zoom out to see anything on the screen. Otherwise it just shows a frozen picture. Anyone else get a NES emulator to work ok?

Purchased snes4iphone from Cydia, and using the top link after selecting browse, I have mixed success getting the ROMs to work correctly.

Namely Mario RPG and Zelda Link to the Past.

Mario RPG first went to a black screen the first time I had the app installed, after a reinstall it now goes to "Loading Rom...Failed"

Zelda originally loaded, then would not load any graphics of the background after the starting room. After the reinstall it gets the same "Loading Rom...Failed" screen.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I look for different Roms? I don't have my SNES hooked up at home, but I may have to so I can play these damn games again. Not too thrilled with my $5 as of now.

I had the exact same experience with this particular game on my iPhone 3G. I never could determine if it was the ROM or the snes app or RAM that caused it though.

So wait, what does one have to buy/download to be able to say pair a Wiimote to the iPad and play NES3? Am I correct in thinking BT Stack and then there'd be some setting in there to pair the Wiimote to the iPad?

I tried it and it worked fine on mine. Not sure where else to post this problem, but is anyone able to get it to upscale correctly on the iPad? There are some youtube videos out there where people were able to do so (even in zodttd's video). Mine acts like an iPhone program where I have to hit 2x zoom and that blows it up to where it doesn't look too good. Thanks.

edit: Actually now that I'm staring at the video, it might be the same. I thought zodttd made a version that fixed the scaling to where you didn't have to 2x zoom.

Ok, I got Zelda to work by messing with some of the options. I think "Transparencies On" is the one that did it, but if not, just keep messing around.

Has anyone found a Mario RPG that works? Would be very grateful!

Yep, NES 3 (the $6 app) works just fine for me, as do the ROMs

Hmm... This is the one I have and it doesnt work. If I load a rom... I get audio but I have to switch between 1x and 2x any time I want a screen refresh?

Hmm. I'm using the same ROMS that work flawlessly on my 3GS, but I get no picture of the games, only the sound and the joypad below. When I switch between 1x and 2x, I get a frame of gameplay, but nothing else. I'm having the same issues with both Snes4iphone and Genesis4iphone.

It looks like pixel doubling makes these games look like they're on an old school monitor. Maybe theres no need for any smoothing effects.

Maybe try tinkering with all of the settings? I'll post mine up when I get a chance, so you have something to compare it to, but I've had no issues. You may also want to remove and redownload, that might fix it, but who knows?

Edit: Here's what I have for my settingsV
