Hmm. I'm using the same ROMS that work flawlessly on my 3GS, but I get no picture of the games, only the sound and the joypad below. When I switch between 1x and 2x, I get a frame of gameplay, but nothing else. I'm having the same issues with both Snes4iphone and Genesis4iphone.

It looks like pixel doubling makes these games look like they're on an old school monitor. Maybe theres no need for any smoothing effects.

I have EXACTLY the same problem... :D

only 1 frame of gameplay when switching.

I am having the same problem on NES4iPhone and NES3. SNES4iPhone works great though. I have deleted the roms, downloaded them from a different site and put them back on the iPad and keep getting the same problem. Only one quick flash of screen update every time I toggle between 1x and 2x. NES4iPhone is the first app I have ever paid for on Cydia, and I am already regretting it.

Has anyone gotten NES4iPhone to work on their iPad? I think it can't be a setting issues because the settings options are so limited.

Maybe try tinkering with all of the settings? I'll post mine up when I get a chance, so you have something to compare it to, but I've had no issues. You may also want to remove and redownload, that might fix it, but who knows?

Edit: Here's what I have for my settingsV

Thanks for the pics. Still no go.

I downloaded the trial of nes4iphone as well and the same thing is happening? I always have to zoom in and out to refresh the video. Ive tried 10 different games and the roms are from diff sources.

EDIT - Here is the response I received about nes4iphone from the developer:

"Quite a few of my emulators are suffering from this "screen update" bug. I will fix them all shortly along with a universal binary for iPad specific versions. :)"

Is there a way to get roms for snes and n64 straight onto the iphone?
like an app? there is one for NES

Cyberduck is not working for me :( can't ssh

How's the controls on these emulators?

Are these ipad specific apps that have scaled down controls or are they just scaled up iphone apps and the controls are very large?

I logged into Cydia Saturday morning and there was an update for SNES on the list. Until then I could not get it to work. updated it and now it works. Not sure what the update was, but when I did, it started working. I even purchased it.

What version is the SNES update you guys are talking about? The repo still shows 7.0.0.

Does anyone know if the developer plans to add PS3 controller support? So we can actually map all the buttons to a controller. (SNES)

Nice find! I'm dling it now, but I'll have to wait about 1.5 hours till I get home to put some ROMs on it. I'll report back ;)

Update: it works pretty nice, but kind of annoying when trying to pair the iPhone to the iPad. I'm sure there are instructions somewhere, but I couldn't be bothered to read those :)

Ultimately, the framerate was good, sound good, roms worked well, etc. Plus, you can't really beat the price!

When pairing iphone to ipad, did you turn on bluetooth on both? Here is the instruction under "usgae"

does it have support for on-screen controls on the ipad at all?

i like the idea but i only have an iphone 3G, leaving bluetooth on etc kills the battery.

Well, this and the controller (for the 3GS) were the only packages I downloaded off Cydia yesterday. This morning my iPad battery was fine at about 99%. I always go to bed with them at 100%. My iPhone on the otherhand was down to 50%... I'm going to try it again, going to bed with them both at 100 and seeing if the iPhone is back down to <70%. If so, so long SNES(HD). I'd much rather have better battery life than the ability to play SNES.

Anyone else notice battery issues having the SNES controller on their phones?

Figured it out. I had to reinstall BTStack.

I will have to check out N64iPhone. I tried NES3 and NES4iPhone last night and neither work. When I load a ROM, I have to zoom in or zoom out to see anything on the screen. Otherwise it just shows a frozen picture. Anyone else get a NES emulator to work ok?

Hmm... This is the one I have and it doesnt work. If I load a rom... I get audio but I have to switch between 1x and 2x any time I want a screen refresh?

I have this exact issue :( Any fix yet?

Snes4iPhone works fine. Nes doesn't.

Can someone help me get ROMs on here?
In the emulatior I search for roms and it brings me to doperoms.com I get to the rom and click download but nothing happens
Any ideas? Are you able to download roms in emulator?
:confused::confused::confused:

I use theoldcomputer dot com, [on your desktop or laptop] save to wherever you want and SSH them into the directory in the iPad. I highly doubt you are able to add them through just the iPad

Yes, mine takes them and unzips them to use on Snes HD. It works great. I have no problems doing this and I do not need to SSH from a computer.
