For those lucky enough to have purchased NetShare when it was up for 24 hours will be glad to know it still works on iPhone 4. Used it to post this on my macbook

God bless your little heart for posting this. :p I had been wondering about this - NetShare is just about my favorite app.

That's freaking sweet. I'm always surprised my NetShare still works with each update. I hadn't even thought to find out if it worked with iPhone 4!

Is it just me or is does NetShare use a ridiculous amount of power? I find it drains my battery really fast.

I've been using a BlackBerry the past two years, so I forgot that I ever purchased this app... Sure enough, it's still in my iTunes. Thanks for the reminder!

anyone care to post a tutorial for this thing, haven't used it in a while and can't find the notes i had on it from back in the day

i can't seem to get it to work again...the ip on netshare keeps reading as 169.254.196.104 and I can't get 192.168.10.1 to hold in the static ip on the iphone...anyone else having this problem?

Hmm, i purchased it but don't have it on any computers any more. How can I get it again?

Thanks for posting this! I was wondering if it worked.

I opened the app when I first got the iPhone 4 but I didn't actually try it out. I was concerned it was going to give me the same message as it gives me on the iPad.

I get the same problem too, anyone have suggestions that got this to work for them?

Anyone else having a problem with netshare crashing A LOT? I always had it crash now & then but sometimes I could use it for like 30 min without a problem, however, upgrading my 3GS to 4.0 causes my netshare to crash about every 40 to 70 seconds. Maybe long enough to load one page & then go to click on a link & I see that it can't load & netshare has crashed. I pretty much can't use it at all anymore... :(

When setting up the SOCKS Proxy on your Mac, use whatever ip address is showing up on NetShare. Different iPhones will have different ip addresses. Use whatever is showing up on your NetShare. Here is an example of what your settings should be:

Yes, it crashes all the time for me also on both my 3gs and now i4. Seems iOS4 is not as friendly to it. :(

It's been gone from the App Store for a long time.

Thank you. I still have Bemn.at tethering in my iPhone 3GS OS 3.0 but I will got new iPhone 4 soon and I won't pay AT&T tethering monthly fee. I keep current unlimited data plan. I will miss Benm.at tethering when i got new one. :(

The only alternative is jb and MyWi unless you want to spend more each month for one of the wireless broadband options.

I'm having the same exact issue. Has anybody found a fix or workaround?

Is it still possible to get Netshare but maybe transferring the app files to another computer, itune and install onto another Iphone?
