Is it still possible to get Netshare but maybe transferring the app files to another computer, itune and install onto another Iphone?

Yes, but the iPhone will need to be one of the listed, covered devices, for the iTunes account that downloaded the app.

I purchased the app, how do I sync it to my phone? I can't find the app in my itunes account.

The only feasible way to obtain this app if you weren't lucky enough to buy it is by pirating it. You can only do that if you are jailbroken, and since the iPhone 4 jailbreak isn't out yet, you are stuck. Normally, piracy is frowned upon, but would this situation (app no longer being available) be an exception to the rule?

Hi,

Doesnt it only work with Safari - or at least not with Mail and many other apps? This makes it pretty useless for anything other than an emergency situation.

If you are willing to pirate the app (and you really shouldnt) buy MiWi from Cydia - its much better.

Ya you have to have bought it from the app store or have your computer authorized by someone who bought it or pirate it. You can only use socks proxy through safari but i hear you can work a proxy through other browsers just need more scripts.

My internet tethering options are alive after I restored from my jailbroken 3GS phone

falalalalala :D

when you open Netshare the bottom on the iPhone shows

instructions >

click there and it will tell you how to use it.

I notice it seems to crash less or not at all on pages not full of adds and graphics.

doesn't seem to work at all with Windows 7
Gonna try Windows XP in boot camp next.

EDIT: No joy in XP bootcamp or Windows 7 on my Vaio Z with my iPhone 4. Used to work great with my 3gs.
If a JB does not come soon looks like the 2GB tethering plan with AT&T may be the only viable option, although it seems to work (but crash) in Snow Leopard.

I heard of torrents carrying Netshare but not sure.

i have the netshare app found in a torrent, its on my computer but im not willing to jailbreak my iphone to put it on, if there was only some other way

PdaNET is better than MiWi IMHO.

I bought Netshare for $9.99 on July 31, 2008. I can see the purchase in my itunes history. But, I don't have the ipa file. I tried downloading from the internets, but all I can find are cracked copies, and I need the original. I would really appreciate it if someone who has the original can email it to me (spamdumpster at gmail.com) or upload it and send me a link.

Thanks!

Used JuNxXxReY's fix to solve my ip address problem but, like below, my NetShare crashes too often to be useful on my iPhone 3G. Wish I had read the forums before updating.

Anyone else having a problem with netshare crashing A LOT? I always had it crash now & then but sometimes I could use it for like 30 min without a problem, however, upgrading my 3GS to 4.0 causes my netshare to crash about every 40 to 70 seconds. Maybe long enough to load one page & then go to click on a link & I see that it can't load & netshare has crashed. I pretty much can't use it at all anymore... :(

So this is still the only forum that has this thread about netshare crashing. Is there any fix for this because I hate ATT and loathe to give them more money each month if I can get this to work.

You need the one that was tied to your account. Once you lose your IPA, you can't get it back.

I have the ipa tied, the issue is OS4 crashing netshare approx 30-60 seconds into running it. You can relaunch the program and it will still work but crash consistently.

I don't know a solution to netshare, but handy light works well using the same concept as netshare and does not crash.

Well you opinion is way wrong, how can PDANet be better, when it doesn't offer half of what MyWi does? MyWi creates a hotspot for anyone, MyWi, just you, unless you're a loner then pdanet is fine, but i like to share the interwebs, MyWi all the way

btw, i am only kidding about your opinion, we're all correct in our opinions, i just was trying to spice it up a little ;)
