I much rather be the annoying guy who asks TOO MANY "dumb" QUESTIONS that start with "Shall I do this? ...Shall I do that first?"

Rather than the less annoying guy with FEWER QUESTIONS that start with "Oh No I did this!!..now what should I do to fix it?" :)

what about being the guy who asks no questions because he has read all the relevant information first?
Its just a third option that obviously hasn't occurred to you.

That's great but like I said before, I am doing this Step by Step and am new at it.

If I am only on the First Step of what may seem like a simple 4 step procedure,

I am only focusing on that one (First Step) so even if the other 3 steps are written and told to me before , I may not benefit from them while I'm still trying to hurtle over the First Step, you know?

If someone is trying to learn how to drive for the first time and doesn't know the Drive gear from the Reverse, you wouldn't want to teach him how to do effective power slides and drifting just yet.

I know it's annoying to re asked already answered questions, but yeah that's usually how it works

:)OK ...It's a day later and now I am officially at a HAPPY place with my iPhone.

I bought a second hand iPhone 3Gs after my 2G iPhone of 2.5 years fell out of my hands and hit the ground damaging the digitizer or the touch response

( even when it didn't show any physical damage, bottom half of the phone wouldn't respond to touch )

Anyway I heard the cost of repair was expensive, I tried to fix it myself, by actually opening up the hardware...made things worst

Long story short I got my 3Gs Friday and it was a virgin phone with 3.1.0 firmware and it was never jailbroken or unlocked.

So with the Great Help of the amazing folks on these forums, especially Thelatinist and gigapocket1...I went from 3.1 to 3.1.2 jailbroken safely and securely on my 3Gs while preserving my baseband and all my old apps and iphone data.

I bow down to you guys, thanks Soooo much for being very helpful and patient by answering all my dreary, stupid questions.

I love my new iPhone mostly becasue it is exactly identical to tee to my old 2G iPhone that I've personalized for the last two and a half years. (It also happens to run smoother than my old 2G ;))

Thanks so much, once again!:apple:
