Has anyone ever used  without looking like a jerk?
Never.

Basically, using '' is the same as saying "you are a moron" to someone. I think a lot of people use it without knowing exactly how is is perceived by others.

Lol, i hope you guys noticed you answered the same question 3 times in a row?
For example here, it is used in the wrong context, and it seems as if you are saying that they are all idiots for answering the same question 3 times, but as most people would of realised, they all answered the same question within seconds of each other.

Very Random, very off topic, i use it relatively a lot:rolleyes:
Maybe now is the right time to stop.

Loads of stuff changed.

The soundcards changed with the latest MacBook Pros, the iSights changed, the speakers changed, the keyboards changed, the sleep light changed etc... loads of undocumented stuff.

It was all for the better though. I compared my 1.83 GHz original MBP to the 2.2 Apple replaced it with before I sent the original back. The newer ones are 'all round' better, not just in terms of performance. Build quality took a step up, as did things like the sound from the built in speakers...

I meant design changes, but i didn't know they changed the keyboard. Does it have the new layout now? And what sleep light changed? Did they move it to another part of the mbp? and did they put higher end speakers in it? we have the 2.16ghz mbp, it seems good for us, apple really did update the mbp without documenting it.

Why not? It just glows green while on, same as before.

I would like it on the side rather than the bottom

I think you have the wrong idea. The light is still in the same place, but it is under the surface of the aluminum, rather than on the surface, meaning that there is no longer a little black dot when the light is off.

For example:

Now you see it...

Now you don't...

There is an entire article about it here if it still causes confusion.

Seriously, bluedoggiant, you've made 667 posts here on Mac Rumours, and have started 138 threads, that's over a thread every 5 posts
Surely you must be running out of ideas?
I've noticed this too. I think he just posts anything that pops into his mine. I mean who gives a **** about the logo?
