Yeah but the screen has a max res of something like 1024x768 meaning that it looks scaled and text looks jagged.

How big is your Samsung? I have my base mid 2011 mac mini connected to my old 40" 720p Samsung via a Thunderbolt to VGA cable I got from Monoprice. My resolution is 1360 x 768. from 10 feet away it looks pretty good..

Yep, it's a awesome setup for sure. I'm happy with an Apple TV. And if I need more, I'll use AirPlay mirroring to get my Mini on my TV. ;)

My base 2012 Mac Mini has arrived. I am currently creating a bootable Mountain Lion USB disk and once that completes, operation SSD install will commence.

Wish me luck!

My base model arrived yesterday and i put an extra 8GB of RAM in (bringing it to 10GB) i'll admit i was worried i should have picked an i7 and even invested in fusion or an SSD, but this thing just blows my old iMac away (late 2009 model with 12GB RAM) Very pleased :D :apple:
