Yeah so 2 hours later after the screen going weird it just did it again. I guess I will be taking another trip to the apple store.
Did you went in and checked what he said AFTER it happened again?

Also it's quite hard to understand what have happened, extreme colors?

If it goes away when you restart, it is likely a software/OS problem.

However if it reoccurs at random irrespective of the software program that you are in, or what you are doing on the machine, then it is either deep in the OS or it's hardware.
May be the gpu which got some fault and messes it up but shows up as normal after the next reboot until it happens again aswell.

Definitely a hardware issue. Bad video card. And horrible backlight bleeding if you ask me.

Awesome quality control Apple.:rolleyes: What in the world is going on at Apple these days??
They build PCs? Or well, others build them, Apple sells them =P

Also if it's the gpu i guess it's not that easy to notice, might just happen with applications which uses all pixel pipelines or whatever.

So I called the Apple store tonight about 6pm before I went to exchange and they assured me they had 24" imacs in stock. Drove 35 min to the store dropped it off with a genius and then got a call 15 min later that he could do nothing because they were out of stock on the 24". So now my computer is sitting at the Apple store waiting until they get more in for shipment. Thanks for the wasted Saturday night Apple.
Sad to hear that :(

Say it isn't so...

My new 24" iMac is on the way!!!

I hope my model doesn't have these problems.

Make sure to save those electronic receipts. Don't delete for at least a year.

I hope the everyone gets their Macs looking well again...

Peace...:apple:
