It’s not full of bugs for everybody though. Some are experiencing things others aren’t and none are particularly serious for usage from what I gather.
Yes they are; the one where the camera app crashes when you try to take a photo and every other app crashing and restarting is a pretty big issue for me.

I have zero issues on my 8 Plus with 13.2. 13.0 was a bit buggy but way better than the betas. I can now recommend it.

If I could revert from IOS13 I would. My advice is proceed with caution.
Ditto. It is horrible. But it's ok though as there are new emojis etc. Functionality of the phone is wrecked but there are some new cool emjois to use on a malfunctioning £800+ device.
Fortunately I have not downloaded it onto my ipad (and won't be) so at least 1/2 of my devices has not been ruined.

I've got a few devices on iOS 13 (personal phone, work phone, work iPad); no issues to report. Anecdotally, I've noticed better battery life on iOS 13 compared to 12.

Just based on my own experience. I upgraded to 13 when it was released, and it has been pretty unstable and buggy, even on 13.2.

I currently have an 8plus, and I wished I stayed on iOS 12.x

Like i get therewill be bugs... but there's heaps with 13.x, that something strange happens everyday.

Another bug I have noticed since installing 13.2 is every time I take a photo it crashes all other apps, for example I could be using an app and when multitasking I would switch between them and pick up where I left off, but now if I take a photo and then go back to an app it will crash and restart. Very weird.

5th call with Apple Support later today. Wonder what the advice will be this time. "wait for ios 13.2.1" is my bet. That or "restart as new".

13.1.2 seems to be a safe update, so I would upgrade. To avoid any issues, I would upgrade and restore the phone as new, so you get a clean slate.

I see this advice time and time again but how do you get all your data and apps back if you restore as new?

I found a way to revert to 12.4.1! Here's how I did it: I bought a used XS Max with 12.4.1 still installed on Swappa. OP, that's *my* answer to your question. It's running so badly on my 11 Pro Max that I just bought a new/old phone. Maybe 13 would run nicely for you, maybe not, but you can't go back (at least not on that phone) once you do it.

That depends on the app.
Apps like WhatsApp can be restored independently just fine from iCloud backup. iMessage can be restored if you enabled iMessage on iCloud beforehand. In short, apps that uses cloud backup properly either through iCloud or other services like Dropbox should be able to be restored just fine.

However, there are apps like WeChat that cannot get its own backup unless you’re transferring to a new device or you had created a separate backup to your PC. There aren’t that many of these kinds of apps, but YMMV.

Even through all the betas I tested pre public release I never had anything as bad as that. The worst I had was the camera app getting confused between landscape and portrait mode. Sounds like a right mess on your iPhone but mine is running absolutely fine now.

So I bought a new 8 plus, its stuck on ios 12. After hearing reports about ios 13 should I just stay on ios 12 for the time being?
I would suggest u update as few glitches are acceptable and I am sure apple will take care of them soon. Worth updating.

The one feature I do like in iOS 13 is the save entire web page as pdf feature. That's really cool. But you also need a pdf editing app (pdf genius) to be able to crop the long mother

I would hold off on upgrading at this very second until Apple fixes the background app killing issue in iOS 13.2. It's really distracting and annoying to have your apps constantly refresh in the background.

Yup, it’s awful. Truly awful.

Maybe a total reset and start as new is the only way forward. I will go down the painstaking route of writing down all passwords and key information and start afresh. Shouldn’t take that long to get back everything I currently have.
