DD goes to the amp via HDMI and I just have stereo going to the TV which is being driven by the component connection. Works perfectly. When i turn the HDMI amp on the ATV redirects its output to that and the component connections go blank so you can't drive both at once but it defaults to component when HDMI isn't active. Works for me.
