I really like it. So glad it came to ATV2, it saved me €109 :)

As I can't stream 1080p on my broadband anyway.

Airport Mirroring from my iPad updated to 5.1 is also a lot smoother :) Good stuff.

Just updated my ATV2. No need to upgrade to ATV3 as my TV is only 720p. Whats with the new UI, did Apple really design this, its awful.

Can the icons be hidden in the new interface? I hope there's an option for that.

Updated mine and it's messed up the ordering of TV shows on Home sharing - if you order them by show it used to be in alphabetical order, but now it's in some weird random order. Why do Apple mess these simple things up?

Me too. They have taken ten steps back with this. When you see how much attention to detail the other products get, its a shame that they can't do the same for this. Its an excellent product and I wouldn't be without mine, but I wish Apple would put some effort in and truely innovate. It wasn't worth putting in todays presentation if all it gets is 1080p! Wheres the app store/siri/ingenious new interface?

I can't comment on the new UI yet, but I'm sure I will have a big white Apple burnt in to my plasma tv by the time it finishes updating.

On my Apple TV 2, the only noticeable difference is the home screen. There are icons masquerading as 'apps' instead of looking like a menu.

Looks like the first step to allowing apps on the Apple TV. Maybe with iOS 6.

Otherwise, this update is no big deal.

I just upgraded earlier today, saw the new home screen and tested the only thing I use it for which is NHL. Still works which is good as the wife has a game to watch tonight :)

One thing I'll be interested to see is if it will consistently send a video signal when woken from sleep to the TV via the A/V Receiver as it was a little hit and miss on the older version...
