I think it's the angle of the pictures. Here's another view that shows the polished ss a little better.View attachment 559304

I have the same adapters. The brushed finish is just the inner portion of the adapter. The outer part of the adapter is the only part that is polished, since it is the only part of the adapter that is visible when connected to the watch. Don't worry, it'll match your SS perfectly fine, as it does mine.

Good to know - thanks! I'll check it out again - I only took a quick look and was surprised that the adapters weren't shiny. I was waiting until one of my 3rd party bands arrived before taking them out of the plastic bag.

I received them today and both the finish and the fit are really good for $17. Apologies in advance for another hairy arm picture.

Thanks for the photos and comments on the adapter. Ordered one of this seller's adapter tension pin version and one of the screw type. Looks like he gets them from the OEM seller from Hong Kong. Rather buy from the States for a few bucks more and take most of the worry out of coming directly from overseas. Guess I'll need to start looking for bands.

I really need such a adapter, but can't find one to ship to germany. Does anybody have an idea?

I wonder if we're not seeing consistency amongst the lug manufacturers (if they're following Apple's specs for bands, I believe the 42mm get 24mm bands and the 38mm get 22mm bands). Sound right to those that have these?
