Black unity watch bands ranked:
  1. Original (looks like Gucci, pretty nice)
  2. Braided loop (Some may put this one first, which I can see, but the original edges it out imo)
  3. Sport loop (Nothing against this one, I just don't like the style)
  4. This new one (I don't like the design, looks like someone painted onto the band. I'd rather have a solid pattern or something)
Black unity watch faces ranked:
  1. Unity lights (really cool, it uses raytracing, and a good general vibe to this face)
  2. Original Unity face (Nothing bad with this one, but I wish it had more complications)
  3. This new flowers one (Haven't tried it yet, but looks fairly cool. Don't think it'll be a daily face for me though. Doesn't look like it'll have complications though.)
  4. Unity mosaic (Not really into that style, no complications)
Also, you may not remember this but the Apple Watch Series 6 had a "Black Unity edition" model. Black Unity was engraved on the back of it. Probably one of the rarest Apple Watch models ever. Crazy to think that was like 4 years ago now (I'm getting old!)

I've really never understood this sort of point of view… but would like to have a better understanding.

Is it because less intricate designs look basic in a way that suggests lower skill level? The colours? Or something else? Some schoolchildren's art can be wonderfully joyous and expressive, so the association with ugliness doesn't ring true.
It literally looks like a kindergarten art project. Everything about it is horrible. The type that everyone knows is really ugly, and only parents like. "Oh, that's really nice little Timmy" and then it gets thrown in the garbage after a couple of weeks. It takes absolutely no artistic skill whatsoever.

Anyone on earth over 6 years old could have done that. This is a trillion dollar company, and that's the best they can do?

This is much better than the last unity band, I may add it to the rotation cause I like flowers

You're one of those people who thinks photorealistic paintings are better than Basquiat I'm sure. lmao.

I’m not sure it’s a “point of view”. It’s simply the persons subjective feelings about something artistic. I believe it’s based in emotion, and so can’t really be “explained” by objective criteria like you request.

Similar to why you and I probably like different food, different music, and so on.

I’m not sure why the poster felt the need to express their dislike openly, but I guess it’s open expression, and people are allowed to have different views.
