I installed 1.3 w/ Win Xp Pro on the 17" 2.4 MBP and everything went fine. Sound and the eject button work fine. Wireless and bluetooth are working correctly. I installed Battlefield 2 and it was working fine too. I'm going to install C&C 3, so i'll update after that.

What kind of performance do you get out of BF2? I mean I know you said it worked fine, but what sort of video settings were you running it at? Also, is your MBP one of the high res ones, and if so, can you run BF2 at 1920x1200?

I'm running Vista Ultimate via 1.3 on my new 15" MBP (2.2 Ghz) Works like a charm.

Only thing I've noticed... After you guys log in, does the screen flicker black momentarily? That's the only time it happens... I'm just not sure if it's normal/a boot camp thing or what.

Yes it appears to be normal. I think that it is when it loads the chipset driver, it does it imidiatly when you log in.

I'm running BF2142 (which I understand is, essentially, very similar to BF2) under 1440x900@60Hz with all settings except AA maxed out and its quite smooth. A few hiccups here and there, but I think that's more from my wireless connection strength than GPU power. The only thing you need to watch out for is overheating. XP's heat management sucks; I would set your fans going fast with smcFanControl before you reboot into XP (it'll preserve the settings) so it doesn't get too hot and crash or worse. But that's me.

Overall, I'm satified for now. Boot Camp is still beta software, after all, and I'm sure we'll see more optimizations for the drivers and such before Leopard's release.

I installed Vista via bootcamp on my new macbook, it works fine but whenever i restart the computer i have to manually install the mighty mouse every time with bluetooth.

I do as well but I am running XP Pro SP2 on an Intel Imac 20". Wireless keyboard works with no problem though.

Glad I'm not the only person with this issue.

I installed 1.3 on my SR MBP with XP Pro and it works fine. I installed Rise of Nations & Day of Defeat and both games work well. Also installed & ran Matlab and Labview and no problems there.

I'm running XP Pro on a MBP 2.4 and it's all fine. The iSight works too. Performance is great, although I feel OS X handles the two cores better than Windows.

just put and OEM or computer builder's copy of vista business on it today and it works like a charm but its still windows. I have a new 2.4 SR MBP.

I just installed Vista Home Premium on my new SR MBP. Everything went fine, except I have 3 problems. First is the iSight driver, but it sounds like everyone has that issue. Second is that Vista thinks my MBP is on battery power when it is actually on AC power. I have to unplug and replug it for Vista to realize it is plugged in. Third, when I run the Windows Experience Performance Test, it proceeds through the test, but gives no results when it is finished. If anyone has any suggestions about any of this, please help me out! I'm a first-time Mac user, and thus a first-time BootCamp user...

By the way, I used version 1.3 of BootCamp.

Update: Ok, I was able to fix the Windows Experience Test problem. I just had to delete the old data files from the Performance folder in Windows System. But the battery / AC power problem is still at large...

I had vista installed with bootcamp, i uninstalled it and now when i boot up my mac it has a white screen for about 15 seconds before the apple logo appears and it begins to startup. Its quite frustrating as it used to be instant. Any ideas on how to solve this?

I have had the Experience Test problem but fixed it after re-partionioning again... and the iSight? How do you get that to work?!!? Also, I have AC/battery power problem. And for some reason, my Aero fading in effects of the windows went away yet I can do the 3-D flip etc.? How do I fix this?

Sounds like you're in "power saver" mode. It retains 3d compositing but disables a number of effects to conserve battery power. Try switching the power mode to "balanced"?

Have just put 1.3 on my C2D MBP seems to run perfect. iSight, sound and mac keyboard keys all good. Even backlight works now !

Heating..

Same thing happens to me.

Do you also notice a heating problems? My fans do not make any noise like they do not work at all and the heat after a while is so much that you cannot even type on the keyboard easily..

K.

System Labs

Hey all

I got my mbp 2.2 SR two weeks ago and I installed boot camp and Windows XP professional. Anyway when I went to Gamespot to use the "Can You Run It" feature that lets you check if your system is capable of running pc games in the analysis it says that I have a 512mg Nvidia 8600 not 128mg:eek::confused:. Any body tried this as well?
