So is it safe to update to the new Nvidia drivers and Cuda drivers?

It has been safe for me to use the Nvidia and CUDA driver versions listed in the URL that my last post references - but so far I've tried both drivers with only Octane render and Blender. I haven't yet tested any Adobe products using the latest drivers that I've referenced, but I have no reason to suspect that they will not work well. The latest drivers appear to have also cured the OpenCL issues under Mavericks using GPUs with the GK110B chip (like the GTX 780 Ti) at least to the extent that I haven't experienced any crashing with Preview and LuxRender - both of which rely on OpenCL.

Caveat: The cynic in me makes me make this caution - Maybe the drivers work only on those machines that they weren't intended to work on. I've used both drivers only on three 2007 Mac Pro 2,1s. Nvidia posted a warning saying (where you download the driver): "This driver update is for Mac Pro 5,1 (2010), Mac Pro 4,1 (2009) and Mac Pro 3,1 (2008) users only." I've violated that warning. Moreover, for OSX 10.9.2 the machines that I've installed that OS version on have been deprecated. I've violated that too. So the designated drivers may work only for violators of two or more prohibitions. See, e.g., post no. 52, above. I'm going for bonus points: Next, to round the edges of my cheese graters and to achieve the New MacPro6,1.5, I'll be installing on my 2007 Mac Pro 2,1s the Mac Pro SMC Firmware (Smooth My Crate on the FirmieSides) Update 2.0 which was otherwise intended as the update recommended for all Mac Pro (Late 2013) models. It'll trigger the announcement: "We at Apple have had second thoughts so we've crossed a cylinder with a box for the MacPro6,1.5 hardware refresh - Can't innovate my a**." Shut your mouth ;)

Okay, reinstalled 5.5.28 and I'm back up.

Yikes.

I just updated my iMac to version 10.9.2 but I downloaded After Effects CS6 too and I really really need that program but now when I open it, it says I can't use this version of Adobe After Effects with this version of OS X.

Please help me!

Apple Security Update 2014-002 just issued this morning breaks the Web Driver 331.01.01f02 and upon restart the Apple Default Driver is being used. Cuda 6.0.37 still working.

^^^^Yes, I have been using Cuds 6.0.37 since Day one and I installed the .04 driver after Apple's Security Update-002. Using with my MVC Flashed GTX 780. No issues.
