To be fair, the first all in one desktop was the original Mac.

Furthermore, that Dell is Fugly. It actually made me feel sad seeing it.

Like evryone said it's ugly,remind of the 80's - amiga.And the design looked like some old BO TV..
But the specs where ok.But the red thing and xps writin all over in the back was a design mistake...and the black colour in front with that shiny screen.. yukk..

You already have access to a faster processor in the iMac (Core 2 Extreme 2.80Ghz). I frankly don't see the problem.

On the other hand, it appears you have access to a better graphic card in the iMac compared to this Dell All-In-One.

No need to comment on the looks of it though...

The only people that will buy this are die-hard Dell and Blu-Ray fans.

Blu ray burner? I suspect typo, but that would be very cool. Card reader, a/b/g/n wifi, take away windows and you've got a half decent package.

It's certainly no iMac, but hey, it's not that bad. Pretty nice. I like it (says the guy before he looks at the price tag).

Do they? The case is ugly, but a 2.66GHz c2d, a blu-ray writer? That's damn snazzy.

I didn't read everything, but that would be the one thing that would make this machine better than the iMac. The look of it isn't as clean as the current or previous iMacs, but no PC is, and of all the PC all-in-ones this Dell looks pretty good. The 22" screen isn't really making me sweat, and I can live without all of the extra connectivity mumbo jumbo on the back. If I were a gamer, I wouldn't buy this machine for those two reasons and many more.

In typical Dell fashion, they try to cram everything they can in the machine or in the box to make it appealing, I could have done without the wireless keyboard and mouse unless I can recharge them through USB, if not, then I would still have to go out and buy a 3rd party system.

I give it my usual PC 6.5 out of 10. Great design with a real gamer feel, but I don't think gamers want all-in-one machines with laptop processors and external parts. I would stick to towers, and put this machine in the consumer market and the business market so that PC vendors can actually go toe-to-toe with the iMac.

Whats with the big gaps around that hideous diamond shaped plastic thing that contains all the ports?

And the whole V-neck design language isn't for me.

No it wasn't. Even Apple had an all-in-one before the Mac.

I agree mainly with digital skunk, but as far as it mot being for gamers, I'd have to say that I think more and more people are moving to laptops and all-in-ones for gaming. Sure you can't upgrade the video card, but they'll play all the new games for the next year or so and you just buy a new computer.

The specs do look good-assuming this is the lower end and then you could upgrade processor, video card etc. a la Dell. I do think the price tag is a little hefty.
