My new imac occasionally makes this buzzing sound. I'm pretty sure its the hard drive.

Its not too bad as its fine about 80% of the time. Not sure whats causing it though.

buzzing sound on Imac 20"

I just returned after the second time to the genius bar about the buzzing/fan sound. The first time I was told it must be the fans and both the optical and hard drive blowers were replaced. Unfortunately the sound still persisted. The second time I was told they could not hear a sound. Must be "environmental", they said. The hard drive replaced is what they suggested. When I place my ear to the back of the computer the vibrating noise is located in the left side when facing it. I know this computer should be eerily silent as it once was. I have had it for only two months--bought it Apple online. Any suggestions? I wish I had read this forum prior to going in to the store; I would have mentioned the Bad Inverter as a possibility. Thanks for any advice.
