20 Oct is my guess.

I do not like thinner. Thinner is not necessarily better. I want faster, better and affordable.

I don't see a reason why it should be any thinner. If the performance is an upgrade than the current model AND the prices drop...I am all for it.

It would be awesome if they introduce i7:rolleyes:

maybe there will be price drops...imac from $999 and macbook from 699$ with new bodies and more ram:)

i just wonder.....why apple change the shipping days one by one? low end mini-high end mini-educational imac-normal imac....so what's next?

Mass manufacturing of Mini and iMac has stopped few weeks ago likely so when it changes to 1-3 day shipping, it means that the certain model is not in stock and it has to be made for order, that's why.

I think (not that I know) that Apple will release the new iMac's 7 days before Windows 7 ships

Figured we'd see the store down this morning but I guess not....probably nothing happening today.

And yeah - I agree with the other person that said that something like this would probably be an event. If they're changing up the bodies and making LED iMacs and a new mouse etc.....they wouldnt just do it, they'd want to show it and say "available _____" "shipping TODAY" "...."

Are there still shortages all around the country or have they restocked?

I found this picture in an email apple sent advertising Snow leopard this morning:
New Imac?

You missed two - that should have said:
Apple will release the new i7 iMac, priced at US$777, 7 days before Windows 7 ships.

Of course, with Apple it could well be 7 days after Windows 7 ships ... or 7 weeks, or 7 months, or 7 years, or ... :)

The "new feature" might even be that they are swapping back to using PowerPC chips with the G7. ;)
