So much hate at times for the iPad pro. Just to chime in I will say that the iPad Pro for me with the smart keyboard is better than the 12 rMB. Im only doing school work on it. But I find the experience to be great. I actually like that there is no trackpad because it shortens the distance to the keys. It is a shame that it is heavier than the 12 rMB but I suppose if they increased the screen size on that machine it would be heavier as well.

i have to agree that its all MARKETING, just like GM calls certain vehicles professional grade, and appliance manufacturers call any product with a stainless covering professional. its all BS.

Marketing or not, I don't care what they named it...could have called it iPad 12.9, I agree with this statement:

Apple CEO Tim Cook described the iPad Pro as the "most capable and powerful" iPad Apple had designed yet, replete with advanced technologies and innovations.

To big to carry around? But the 3 times as bulky MBP is ok? Somehow people have strange points of view around here...
I have two different sized SlingPacks from PacSafe. Both of them will hold an iPad Mini but neither will fit and an iPad Pro. You will need a BackPack to fit the iPad Pro in and if you have a BackPack then you may as well throw in a MBP,Macbook Air or Macbook.
iPad Pro though is good for restaurants or businesses as they can use it like a checkout register because the size is then considered small and portable for business use.
