Of course, I was not saying the value proposition isn't there for other people. Honestly, the pricing really does seem to be fair enough, even more so with the apple store refurbs. And, I really have no idea what $$ amount would push me over the edge.... but I can say it is somewhere between $150 and $600.... who knows, maybe I'll just break down and get one.

What I do know is, I am not up for a cheap knock-off copy.

Well, you can try Craigslist for a used one. Meet in person. Check device out, etc. Or you can buy a refurbed one from the Apple Store complete with warranty. 16GB Wifi = $450.
