Kinda of bad really, means that I actually have to go with periods of no use to recharge!!

Maybe you just need to give it a rest. Charge it while you sleep.

You do sleep don't you. The charger will greatly extend you time as it near keeps up but to charge you need to turn off the screen which uses the most power. My iPad 4 last for hours and hours and I can't imagine using all the battery at a single sitting.

Try playing Real Racing 3.

I use my iPad 3 on and off throughout the day, and I can sometimes go a whole week without having to plug it in. On 50% brightness I can get about 11 hours of simple web browsing and some flappy bird.

I have an iPad Pro 12.9", and I too have this problem. Some apps / games draw more power than others, so that definitely has an impact. I did notice this immediately after purchasing my iPad. Overall though, I'm quite happy with the experience, and I wouldn't say I have a 'power problem' with it whatsoever. I've just never used an Apple device that's plugged in and also losing power; so you're not alone!

Sorry, just realized how old this thread is. :D
