Admittedly, those are steep prices for an iPad mini... and there are indeed the thermal issues to consider with a smaller form factor and higher powered specs... but I still want one.

Yep and I'm sure there are quite a number of others like you who want a Pro mini.Admittedly, those are steep prices for an iPad mini... and there are indeed the thermal issues to consider with a smaller form factor and higher powered specs... but I still want one.
Just pointing out some of the things Apple has to take into consideration—primarily market size at the $$$ margins they want and technical limitations.
