That looks pretty neat. Seems like we will actually see USB-C on the new IPPs then.

Great! Looks like it's going to be upgrade from my 9.7".

Things to note :
The 12,9" will still have a 4:3 screen aspect ratio.
The 11" model seems to have a narrower aspect ratio ( 3:2 perhaps? )

As much as i want to believe this, its appears to be a shot of a drawing on a personal computer. This is one i think we should wait for to be confirmed. But i do think we'll here more about new IPP's in the next few days

With such a high ratio of screen area to bezel, along with the curved corners, these things are going to look crazy in person.

That's because they are a drawing! A cad drawing.

Did some math based on the dimensions listed, and it looks like the smaller model is an 11.0" 10:7 (approx. 2.85:2) display. That's a display with the same width as the current 10.5", just lengthened. With the significant reduction in the top and bottom bezels, you still end up with a device that is about 3mm shorter despite the taller display (not really a major difference, but hey, at least it's not bigger).

Interestingly, it looks like they have not chosen to apply the same method to the 12.9" display, which they could've made into a 13.5" 10:7, even though my math says they could've done that in a footprint that was still about 7mm shorter than the current model. Instead the display is the same and the length is reduced by double that (approx. 15mm).

I come out with slightly different numbers than you for the actual screen sizes. I’m interpreting the bezel measurements listed as being 6 mm for the black part and an additional 1.22 mm for the metal frame outside of that on all four sides of the device. So I subtracted 14.44 (7.22 x 2 in each direction) from the device measurements to come up with the screen measurements.
With that, for the big iPad I get about a 13.1 inch 4:3 aspect ratio display. For the smaller one, I get about an 11.2 inch display that has a slightly wider 14:10 aspect ratio.

Seems fake to me. Why is it that only numbers, “smart connector”, and “Type-C” had to be “translated” into English? What about SIM card tray, for example? Also, different aspect ratios?

That's what I got initially but I considered it unlikely that they would change the 12.9 inch to 13.1 inch because it involves changing the ppi or resolution for no reason (0.2" on a display that big is peanuts), so I went on the assumption that the bezel measurements were slightly inaccurate and calculated them as though the 12.9 inch was unchanged, which coincidentally made the smaller model have a display the exact same width as the 10.5 inch, just taller.

Yeah, could be.

I wish it was 16:9 instead of 4:3 but good to see USB C

(And I hope these leakers know what they are doing; I mean, they are kinda putting their livelihoods on the line)

So it has sharp edges like the iPhone 5/5s, when apple have had curved edges on the iPad and iPhone for years. I don't believe this is accurate.

There’s been a few leaks with this design (and in all honesty who knows how accurate they are - one leak could just be copying the previous). I found it quite odd that for their largest devices they would go to flat edges, as it seemed they slowly went to curved edges as devices got larger for comfort.

Throws me off when I look at those drawings, but I think there’s potential for a killer look with those thin bezels, curved screen corners and the flat edge like the iPhone 4/5. I also wonder if the flat edge allows more volume below the bezel to accommodate any hardware related to the screen (especially if an LCD display can’t quite get edge to edge or curved like OLED can).

Looks so good, I'm satisfied with the design.

I've always liked the iPhone 5/SE design so if the new Pros turn out like this, it's gonna be harder to resist.

Just think of the bigger one as a sheet of A4 paper

Yes! If that really is the actual size I will be so happy. I use by 9.7” iPad Pro primarily for work and take all my documents to meetings in electronic form. Unfortunately, those docs are a little small and sometimes hard to read on that screen. The leaked dimensions of the larger iPP, if true, are almost the same dimensions as a standard piece of 8 1/2” x 11” paper which would be absolutely perfect for business professionals. Here’s crossing my fingers.

As others have said, the current designs make the current iPad 10,5" hard to hold on the thin side bezels ( a disaster waiting to happen) so people are assuming this flat design Apple's answer to the question "how am I going to hold a tablet with small bezels?" Because indeed this flat design gives you more gripe to hold the iPad without fearing it may slide off.
Looks like Apple went with function rather than just aesthetics this time

But it's a 3D model based on leaks. It isn't a product. I can build a 3D model on this computer and take a photo of it...

Here, 100% authentic 'leak'.

Looks super legit! Plus it’s a photo instead of a screenshot, so it’s even more legit.
[doublepost=1539366307][/doublepost]I’m at a loss as to why people hate bezels. They’re there for a reason. The ipad is mostly a very large void on the inside.

You buy a $800+ tablet to cover the screen with your hands. Genius

todays rumours said Apple will keep the same 10.5" and 12.9"
