Ok then I try the beta now, too. No risk, no fun.

There is the possibility to go back when it sucks.

I will be installing tonight on my 10.5 when I get home from work. I have been scouring the forums for input as to how stable the beta is and I have found that many people are very happy with it on the iPad. I like it on my phone, but it is a bit wonky at times. Excited to give it a shot and see how the beta process progresses.

I have it on my 12.9 Pro. Really no problems for me the way I use my iPad.

But I am waiting to do it on my 10.5 Pro since I can play with it on my 12.9.

One issue I just found - I can’t search in the YouTube app, the whole top bar is missing. I tried killing the app, and also reinstalling, neither helped.

EDIT - found a workaround, if anybody cares: go to the videos section of any channel, then rapidly scroll up and down the list. The top bar will flicker and should eventually re-appear properly.

I didn’t have much choice in the end.

My iPad mini was on 10.3.3 beta so I couldn’t restore that to my pro as it was on 10.3.2.

I tried to get the profile for the 10.3.3 beta but it didn’t find any beta available.

So I upgraded to iOS 11 then wiped my pro. I was then finally able to restore the backup.

It took the best part of 2 hours to get everything sorted!

Thanks for the work around. This is happening on iPhone too.

The profile is available on the dev site. That's what I had to do. The dev site had the iOS 11 download and when you go there, scroll down.

I’m having the same issue. Unfortunately I could not get your solution to work :(

Actually, I misread it. It works, well done.
[doublepost=1497407027][/doublepost]So, I got my new iPad today & there was no chance I didn’t upgrade to iOS 11. With such a great new device I just could not resist all the new features. There are a few bugs, of course, but nothing that is too big of a deal. One issue I am having though, wondering if anyone else is experience it & found a solution...

My imessages are all sending from my email..normally I just go to messages in settings & click on my phone number but it’s not there. Does anyone know how to get my iPad to send from my phone number?

I tried iOS 11 on my new 10.5 64gb. And it ran smoothly, same bugs that I had on my iPad Pro 9.7. I restored and went back to iOS 10. I'll wait till another beta or two gets released and try it again.

Got my iPP 10.5 yesterday and went straight to iOS 11. Just google "iOS 11 beta without registering udid". After installing iOS 11, I restored from backup and everything worked.

It is now happily rocking iOS 11. This is the first iOS upgrade that has noticeable differences (good, useful new features). Highly recommended!

Mine is running 11 beautifully, even nicer than my Air 2 did. The only issue I’ve noticed is some weeeeird stuff happening on invert colours. It looked like I had a really bad light bleed until I noticed the ‘bleed’ moved around the iPad as you rotated. I did a light bleed test to be sure and my iPad passed-whew. Otherwise... I can’t imagine going back to 10 on this. 11 is just gorgeous, I sit and play with the spaces animation because it’s so unrealistically smooth. Sad, I know.

I've had IOS 11 beta and the 10.5" iPad Pro now for 36 hours and I love it. IOS 11 makes a huge difference on the iPad from IOS 10, and I feel that I can't go back to IOS 10 anymore.

I am testing to see if the 10.5" IPP on IOS 11 can replace my 2016 13" MBP for moderate use, i.e. email, documents, streaming video, photography editing in LightRoom and light 4K editing in iMovie. I feel the productivity features in IOS 11 can make this happen.

Based on my experience so far:
- IOS 11 beta is very stable for such an early release. Its incredible smooth on the 10.5 IPP.
- The only issues I have so far are the missing search and navigation bars in the YouTube app.
- I have used Mail, Photos, iMessages, FaceTime, Excel, Word, 1Password, Dropbox, iBooks, Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, Facebook, Sonos, HomeKit, iMovie and Lightroom and they all run smoothly and no bugs so far which I find quite astonishing!
- On light 4K editing, I found that the iMovie on the IPP cannot use 4k .mov files from a Mavic Pro drone, and the workflow needs to change to accommodate. Video needs to be imported via photos app before they can be imported into iMovie for editing. Once this is done, photos and iMovie play the 4K footage back very smoothly...much better than on the 13" MBP. However, the MBP is probably using the native file format.

Ill continue to test this over the next 2 weeks. If I am happy the IPP can replace the 13" MBP, I will sell the MBP and get a 15" MBP for more serious work.

EDIT: Forgot to add:
- IOS11 features such as the new dock, multitasking, multiple app windows open, drag and drop etc. have greatly improved my productivity.
- the new Files app does not work with Dropbox yet, but will come later in the year. I haven't tested to see if Files can be used to import video/photos from an SD card, and if these files can be accessed by Lightroom or iMovie for editing.

I got the ios 10 public beta profile ok, but I was trying before the new beta for 10.3.3 came out yesterday so perhaps there was a time when the old beta wasn’t available....

Anyway, all sorted on the 11 beta now.
