iPad New iPad pros available via carrier UK

I’ve just been on the phone with EE and they told me they don’t have any stock except for the 11’ 64GB. So I cancelled my 256GB one, cuz I don’t want to wait 28 days, and got the 64 one instead. I’m not sure if 64 will be enough storage, especially when Adobe releases photoshop, but here we are...

Thanks for that. I have just googled it and it states that if she signs for it she needs ID that matches my name, but she is my gf not my wife, so this isn't possible.

I don’t know any delivery company in the UK that requires ID for deliveries to home addresses (as they’re delivering to the address specified). You usually only need ID when you’re going to collect from their depots.

Holding off on keyboard case as reading not great things on it from users here and online, so will just pair with Magic Keyboard for now if needed.

I’ve just come out of the Apple Store, cuz I went to take my pencil and folio cover. The iPad is nice, really loved it. The keyboard case is also nice although I won’t get it cuz it’s overpriced in my opinion.

I'm surprised you even accepted delivery considering there are so many bad reviews out there. Personally if I was in your shoes I'd have emailed Tim by now....

Fancy that, Apple now having the powers to MAKE people buy their products, who'd have thought it.

Out of interest where did you read the negative stuff/what was the gist?

I did get mine, I ordered two my friend. One with EE and one through Very. Thank you for the concern though.

For fear of people taking offence that I don’t think the sun shines out of this new ipads backside... these were some of the things that concerned me.

YouTube videos not showing in 4K. I learned this is something to do with Google and their codec or something but it is a big bummer for me because I watch a lot of YT content. And yes, I can tell the difference betweeen 1080p and 4K.
The black bar with non optimised apps is also troubling. People who have the devices already are saying that they have noticed it being worse on the 11” which is the model that I ordered.
I know apps will update, but I’m still using some iPhone apps that I’m pretty sure haven’t been updated since the 5...

iOS “limitations” which is the big one a lot of techies have called out. Doesn’t bother me. I won’t be editing video on this thing. It’ll be my Kindle, video viewer, web browser and some light gaming machine hence why I’m happy to pay a low cost for it over the months. But some of the limitations are concerning. I watched a review with some guy who was just trying to move content with his USB stick and he physically couldn’t. I keep going back to the price, but these are the things that just gave me pause for thought.

The keyboard case a lot of people have said it isn’t really worth it for the money. Doesn’t feel as premium as it should etc. That’s people here who have bought it too. I also don’t like that when using in tablet mode the keyboard will be clickable behind the iPad. I have a Pixelbook now that I don’t use in its tablet mode for this very reason. It’s not comfortable.

There’s also no real easy way to get the iPad out of the case comfortably. I read on here some were saying a tab or something to easily release it would have been beneficial. Hence why for the price, I’ll wait and see what Logitech or another third party do.

These are just niggles that made me question whether me spending out on one would be a wise idea. Thankfully, from the very brief go I’ve had in mind so far, it’s impressive. I haven’t gone deep into proper testing with my day to day use case yet, but they certainly did a great job with the overall design.

Just got off the phone with EE, they have switched me to a 64gb 11" iPad Pro, wavered the device cost (£50) and gave me 15% discount on my tariff due to all the issues so getting it for £51 per month instead of £63 on the 12.9"

They said id get it tomorrow, fingers crossed :D

Ordered with Sky, currently on the phone to EE cancelling my order. Seems like they don't really want to do it. I'm on hold again.

Same. I didn't asked for an extra discount but I was told I will be able to use the 20% student one.

Can you advise what numbers you dialled and the options please? Whenever I’ve called I’ve went through to sales and they couldn’t have come across like they cared less if they tried.

Both iPhones are on Max plans as I travel to the US a lot, iPad is now on an essentials plan but I tend to just tether to my phone most of the time.

I also have all my iTunes purchases come out of my EE account. So my Apple Music family account, iTunes Match, iCloud Storage, YouTube Premium and any apps/movies I purchase during the month.

I switched to the 11' 64GB earlier today and I've just got my DPD tracking for tomorrow delivery.

To be fair I think it was my fault, I was being lazy and just dialed 150, option 1 and think. Which is for account queries. All sorted now. Cancelled and I'll be refunded within 4 days.

I still have no tracking number, how did you get it? Email or txt? My order has disappeared on my ee too. No idea what's going on here like

Mine disappeared as well, but then I wrote them to check if it is okay and I immediately got the DPD tracking when I wrote them. To be hones, I'm not fascinated by their customer service. For the latest 5 days I had to cancel it and re-order it 5 times - either because someone from EE didn't know what's going on or because of the 28 days for delivery, which is insane. I'm kinda sad that I got the 64GB, but I also didn't want to wait much...
