Agreed — one of the best features of the Magic Keyboard Folio is that is draws power directly from the ipad itself via the connector dots. I really do like the ESR design — with that one (to me, glaring) exception. I don’t want something with a limited battery life that needs to be charged and will run out maybe when I most need it if I’ve not charged it enough. Also—their use case scenario of ‘2 hours per day’ for one week is only around 14 hours. That could easily be one day’s use for me! And I can usually keep my iPadPro going for that long if I keep the screen luminance low. Or at least I could when it was new (2021 version here), my current one‘s battery life has gotten a little shorter in terms of how long I can go without needing to recharge.
