-All four models will come with usb-c and the Dynamic Island
-The iPhone 15 will come with the A16, while the 15 Pro will come with the A17.
-New naming scheme: 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Ultra. The 6.7-inch iPhone 15 “Pro” will be called Ultra and be differentiated a bit more, and that includes pricing. I expect it to start at $1199 at best. I’ll have more specific info about features closer to release.
-Apple is already working on 8K recording, although it is unclear whether this will be available for all the Pro lineup or just for the iPhone Ultra.
-Apple wants battery life to improve by 3-4 hours next year, specially on the iPhone Ultra.

That all sound plausible but who knows, the leaker might have inside info or might just be a reasonably astute Apple follower making what in my view look to be just one set of many plausible guesses.

I’d be OK if Apple does what the leaker suggests, even with a price increase on the Ultra which would be what I would get if Apple did do what it wants with the battery life. The one thing I hope would also be on the list would be a much higher optical zoom presumably by switching to a periscope lens.

Latest mockup of the 15, with extra large battery:

Only slightly larger than 14PM, and it still fits in your pocket!

Any info on if the international versions will still retain SIM tray feature for the 15?

3-4 more hours of battery? How much heavier? Will we finally get a titanium chassis now?
On the occasions when Apple mentions extra hours I think it usually bases the numbers on the hours of video streaming doesn’t it and that is now quoted at (I think) 29 hours for the 14 Pro Max so we’d only be talking about a bit over 10% up to perhaps 13% increase in quoted battery life. I can see a lot of that coming from better power efficiency. The A17 is rumoured to be on a new process and maybe other bits of the circuitry might go to smaller geometries. Having said that, I would have no objections to a titanium chassis also freeing up a bit of weight to devote to a bigger battery as well.

I'd expect the 6.7-inch Pro model to have A17 Pro chip, while the 6.1-inch gets the regular A17.

Differentiation is clearly where Apple is headed and what better way to encourage buyers to spend extra.

I don’t believe the name leaks. Leakers have a pretty bad track record when it comes to names. Examples including the se 2020 which I can remember supposedly being the “iPhone 9” the iPhone 13 which early leakers were determined would be called the “iPhone 12s” and the 14 plus which was the “14 max” for much of the year. Probably they’ve just see the Apple Watch ultra and decided the max phone will be called that.

In regards to the other leaks, I can see dynamic island and usb-c being on the standard 15 models. Dynamic island is clearly the direction apple want to take the iPhone towards for the foreseeable future and with the EU law pending usb-c will finally be a thing. I’m most curious if the standard models will finally get a basic telephoto? The 14 pros telephoto with its double zoom and macro capabilities is advanced enough that apple could give the standard 15 models a basic telephoto like on the 11 pro without making the pros redundant.

Either way it seems like the standard 15 could be a big upgrade compared to the 14.

These rumors sound great! (And fairly reasonable).

I’d happily pay extra for a 15 Ultra provided the size/weight doesn’t get crazy. I’m perfectly happy with my current 13 Pro Max size but it is kind of approaching the limit of how heavy I want a phone to be.

I think the Pro Max being rebranded as iPhone Ultra makes sense and is pretty inevitable, but I don't think it will happen with the 15. I think they won't use the Ultra name until 2 or 3 generations from now.

Does this account has some track record? Not that I don’t believe this information, just want to make sure it is coming from credible sources
I think they're full of crap. Scroll through the last year or so of tweets, and the hit rate is pretty low.

Why not? They already have the watch and the chip.

The naming convention is very confusing right now. Best to fix it asap.

Not “5 hours “🤣 nah. It’s going to have a larger screen for sure for the 15 pro max. Ain’t no way their sticking with the 6.7 incher again

They need to bail on this scheme and do a 5.8", 6.1" and 6.7" lineup, otherwise next years (non-pro) sales are going to be as flat as they are this year. Drop all older phones, leave the SE.

And oh yeah, get some better colors on these things.
